Forensic Analysis of Emails in Office 365
This book written by our CEO, Juan Antonio Calles García, is a practical and comprehensive guide on forensic analysis of emails in Microsoft 365 environments, aimed at experts, auditors, cybersecurity professionals, and all legal personnel. Throughout its 10 chapters and approximately 250 pages, it thoroughly covers all key aspects of a digital forensic investigation: from theoretical foundations and Locard’s principle to the use of tools such as Microsoft Purview eDiscovery, Outlook, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph API. The reader will learn how to identify, preserve, extract, and analyze digital evidence while respecting the chain of custody, validating data integrity, and drafting technically sound and legally valid reports based on international standards. With numerous examples, real scenarios, and proven methodologies, this work becomes an essential reference to rigorously and effectively address any incident affecting the Microsoft 365 ecosystem in general, and email in particular.
