Recently, Zerolynx has been awarded the 2021 Red.es call for aid, aimed at research and development projects in Artificial Intelligence, other digital technologies, and their integration into value chains. This aid is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish economy of the European recovery funds “Next Generation EU”, and is part of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
Within this project, called internally under the name "IANA", acronym for Artificial Intelligence for Accessible Narrative, Zerolynx, with the support of the ONCE Foundation and the Technological Center specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Vicomtech, will produce a virtual store of cloned voices with the that anyone will be able to generate voiceovers with natural voices of telecommunications media professionals, from texts extracted from all types of documents.
What is a natural voice?
In the context of AI voice cloning, a natural voice refers to the voice of a real person that is recorded and used as a basis to create a virtual copy of their voice. This virtual copy is produced using machine learning algorithms and audio signal processing techniques to replicate the pattern of the original voice, so that it can appear that the person is speaking in real time, even if the recording is pre-recorded.
What is the purpose of the project?
The purpose of IANA is focused on accessibility, allowing anyone to generate audio content for four main domains, television, radio, podcast or audiobook. Each domain has specific characteristics of style, intonation, and rhythm to best suit the medium in which the generated audio will be played.
When will it be available?
It is expected that this innovative service can hit the market in mid-2024. As the project progresses, different announcements will be made regarding it.
